Colonialism Today

Colonialism persists in the relationship that the Canadian government has with Indigenous Peoples today. It exists as part of the legal, political and economic systems of Canada. Colonialism is seen in the underfunding of First Nation education, in the lack of clean drinking water in First Nation communities, and in an unwillingness of the government to move to a nation-to-nation relationship with Indigenous Peoples.
