Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association

Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association (CSAA) is an organization created by Survivors of the Shingwauk and Wawanosh Residential School. Their mission is to look after the well-being of their community families and themselves and facilitate events and initiatives that promote “Sharing, Healing and Learning,” Chief Shingwauk always wanted for them.

The seven sacred grandfather teachings guide the CSAA to demonstrate healing and reconciliation of the trauma endured by the Residential Schools. Since 1981 the Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association has been working to support Survivors from all Residential Schools.
